Free Hat Crochet Patterns
Don’t be intimidated if you have never done a post stitch. It’s way easier than you imagine. Basically, a post stitch refers to inserting your hook around a single stitch of the previous row. Of course, the design could call for you to work into different stitches, but the concept is the same. Either way, this can be accomplished as a front post stitch or back post stitch. Using either can create different textures and illusions depending on the how they are placed or combined with other stitches.
Take a look at the hat above by ELK Studio Designs. If I told you each picture shows a hat made from exactly the same pattern, would you believe me? It is. Colour changes and stitch variations (like the post stitch) can create some incredible designs and illusions in your very hands.
